Azilsartan is in a group of drugs called angiotensin II receptor antagonists. It keeps blood vessels from narrowing, which lowers blood pressure and improves blood flow. Azilsartan is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It is sometimes given together with other blood pressure medications.
Azilsartan: Side Effects
Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Call your doctor at once if you have a serious side effect such as: feeling like you might pass out; urinating less than usual or not at all; drowsiness, confusion, mood changes, increased thirst, loss of appetite, vomiting; or swelling, weight gain, feeling short of breath.
Less serious side effects may include: diarrhea, mild nausea; cough; muscle spasm; mild dizziness; or weakness, tired feeling….
Before using this medicine inform your doctor if you have any type of allergies. During pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended to use this medicine without your doctor’s advice….
