Aztreonam – injection: Side Effects
Among with its needed effects Aztrenoam can cause severe side effects such as: an allergic reaction, difficulty breathing; closing of the throat; swelling of the lips, tongue, or face; or hives; watery or bloody diarrhea; fever, sore throat, and headache with a severe blistering, peeling, and red skin rash; confusion, seizure; feeling light-headed, fainting; pale skin, easy bruising or bleeding, unusual weakness; fever, chills, body aches, flu symptoms; or nausea, stomach pain, low fever, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice. If any of these occur, seek immediately medical care.
The following are other less serious side effects: mild stomach discomfort; warmth, redness, or tingly feeling under your skin; dizziness; numbness, tingling, or burning pain; mild skin rash or itching; vaginal itching or discharge; or pain, swelling, or irritation where the IV needle is placed….
Aztreonam – injection: Precaution
Before using this medicine inform your doctor if you have any type of allergies. Inform your doctor if you are using other medicine and if you have or ever have had any of the following conditions: liver or kidney disease.
Because Aztrenoam can cause dizziness and drowsiness, do not drive and use heavy machinery until you are sure you can perform this activity safely.
During pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended to use this medicine without your doctor’s advice….
