Dilor – G: Indications

Dilor-G is combination of dyphylline and guaifenesin and is used to treat and prevent wheezing and trouble breathing caused by ongoing lung disease such as asthma, chronic bronchitis, or emphysema. While dyphylline is a bronchodilator, guaifenesin is an expectorant and control together symptoms of breathing problems.

Take this medication by mouth, usually every 6 to 8 hours, with a full glass of water or as directed by your doctor for your condition….

Dilor – G: Side Effects

Nausea, headache, pounding heartbeat, trouble sleeping, restlessness, increased urination, or stomach pain/cramping may occur, but unless they are persistent or get worse, are not severe side effects.

More serious adverse reaction includes: an allergic reaction – rash, itching, difficulty breathing, closing of the throat, swelling of the lips, tongue, or face, or hives; fast or irregular heartbeat, seizures. If you notice any of these, or any other unusual symptom, seek medical help immediately….

Dilor – G: Precaution

Before using this medicine inform your doctor if you have any type of allergies. Tell your doctor if you are using other medicine and if you have or ever have had any of the following conditions: heart problems such as angina, fast or irregular heartbeat, heart failure, or recent heart attack; high blood pressure; overactive thyroid; kidney disease, seizures, or a stomach or intestine ulcer.

Avoid drinking large amounts of beverages containing caffeine like coffee, tea, or colas, eating large amounts of chocolate, or taking nonprescription products that contain caffeine, to decrease aggravating any side effect.

During pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended to use this medicine without your doctor’s advice….
